Embark on a sensory journey with Aberlour Suthainn Sherry Cask Speyside Single Malt Scotch Whisky, a distinguished expression crafted exclusively for the discerning traveller. Bottled at a robust 40% ABV, this exceptional whisky is a testament to Aberlour's rich heritage and unwavering commitment to quality. Suthainn, meaning 'sweetness' in Gaelic, perfectly encapsulates the whisky's character, which is deeply influenced by its maturation in hand-selected sherry casks. These casks impart a luscious depth and complexity, unfolding layers of flavour that are both intense and harmonious. Upon first encounter, the nose is greeted by an inviting aroma of rich dried fruits, interwoven with hints of dark chocolate and warming spices. The palate is an opulent tapestry of sweet sherry influences, revealing notes of ripe raisins, dates, and figs, beautifully balanced by undertones of toasted oak and subtle leather. As the liquid evolves, a delightful sweetness emerges, reminiscent of honey and toffee, leading to a long, lingering finish that is smooth, warming, and utterly satisfying. Aberlour Suthainn Sherry Cask is best enjoyed neat, allowing its intricate flavours to fully express themselves. For those seeking a different experience, a single drop of water can further open up the aromatic profile, revealing even more nuanced notes.
