Lustau Irish Whiskey 70cl

Redbreast Lustau, a new way to experience the signature sherry taste, thanks to an old friendship. The whiskey is initially matured in traditional bourbon and sherry casks for a period of 9-12 years. It is then finished for 1 additional year in first fill hand selected sherry butts that have been seasoned with the finest oloroso sherry from the prestigious Bodegas Lustau in Jerez. Redbreast dates back to 1903 when Jameson entered into an agreement with the Gilbeys Wines & Spirits Import Company to supply them with new make spirit from their Bow St. Distillery. The custom of that era was that distilleries sold bulk whiskey to 'bonders' who, being in the business of importing fortified wines such as sherry and port, had ample supplies of empty casks in which to mature new make whiskeys under bond. Bright gold colour Rich infusion of dark fruits, prunes, dates and figs Liquorice, marzipan, toasted oak in aroma Creamy pot still taste with Redbreast spices Endless sherry finish
