Calvet Chateau Grand Puch Cuvee Anne Laure 75cl

Presentation of the estate. This authentic castle of the 13th century, located between Bordeaux and Saint-Emilion, dominates an estate of 175 hectares of which 90 are planted in vines. The grape varieties grown on the estate are Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc, and they are planted on clay-limestone hillsides. The quality of the terroir combined with the vinification of fully ripe grapes contributes to the production of a full-bodied and elegant wine with good balance. According to Léo Drouyn (Guyenne Militaire), château du Grand Puch is one of the best preserved architectural monuments from the 13th century. With its broad moats carved out of the rock, its towers, turrets and rampart walk, château du Grand Puch has managed to maintain the character of an ancient seignorial manor, in spite of certain restoration work.
