The Balvenie is dedicated to the five rare crafts that are used to create The Balvenie's distinctive taste. The Balvenie Distillery is built on stories. They are Balvenie's lifeblood. In an industry where everything is codified, they don't write a huge amount down. Instead, they pass on what they know, from one person to the next, story by story… Back when some of today's distillery workers were still but loons and quines, David C Stewart was working on a new creation. It would become the world's original cask-finished single malt Scotch whisky, the making of which involved maturing the liquid in one cask, before transferring it to finish maturating in another.
