Rademon Estate Distillery was established in 2013 by husband and wife team Fiona and David Boyd-Armstrong. Shortcross Gin, released in 2014, was Northern Ireland’s first ever gin. Inspired by the lush forests and gardens of the 500 acre Rademon Estate in Co. Down, Shortcross gin is distilled with a blend of traditional gin botanicals and botanicals foraged on the grounds of the estate. These foraged botanicals include wild clover, part of the shamrock family, elderflowers, elderberries and apples as well as water drawn from the estate well.Due to this, Shortcross gin has a completely unique flavour profile; balanced and aromatic with an exceptionally long and smooth finish.Shortcross small batch production is also a philosophy. Distilled in a bespoke copper still, bottled and labelled on site, every aspect of Shortcross is uncompromisingly perfected by hand. It is only available through select outlets and exclusive partnerships. A classical juniper-forward style with a unique twist; uplifting floral notes, smooth and sweet flavours. It is rich and textural gin with an exceptionally long and smooth finish.
