100 Year Anniversary Irish Whiskey

This 10 Year Old Limited Release pays tribute to the whiskey’s history and heritage, reviving the original 10-year age statement first marked by Mitchell & Son with a green daub of paint, and offering a layered flavour profile of orchard fruits, warming spices and sweet vanilla. Bottled at 46% ABV, this elevated strength helps to accentuate the deep and rich fruit notes, while the enhanced aging also accentuates the wood spices and wine seasoned cask influences. Tasting Notes: Nose: Opens with decadent aromas of floral honey, coffee cake, and toffee, layered with autumnal fruits, sweet pear, blackberry, apple, and lifted by herbal notes of lemon verbena and mint. Light dustings of nutmeg add warmth and complexity. Taste: A blend of cinnamon, nutmeg, vanilla, dried fruits, and dessert -like flavours of apple crumble are layered over warming cereal notes of barley. Finish: A rich and lasting finish, with pot still spices and orchard fruits gently lingering to the end.
