The Botanist Islay Dry Gin

Discover the essence of Scotland with The Botanist Islay Dry Gin, a truly exceptional spirit crafted for the discerning traveler. Hailing from the windswept isle of Islay, renowned for its peaty whiskies, The Botanist offers a remarkably different yet equally captivating experience. This exquisite 1000ml bottle is a travel retail exclusive, presenting a unique opportunity to acquire this distinguished gin. Distilled in a Lomond pot still at the Bruichladdich Distillery, The Botanist is a symphony of 31 botanical ingredients, meticulously hand-foraged from the Islay landscape. These include nine classic gin aromatics, supplemented by 22 wild, autochthonous herbs and flowers, such as apple mint, chicory, and rose hip. This complex blend results in a gin of unparalleled depth and aromatic complexity. On the nose, expect an initial wave of fresh citrus and delicate floral notes, gracefully intertwined with the subtle salinity characteristic of Islay. The palate is a revelation, revealing a smooth, balanced profile where juniper leads, supported by a nuanced interplay of herbs and spices. Hints of sweet mint, dried apple, and a whisper of maritime air contribute to its distinctive character. The finish is long, clean, and refreshing, leaving a lingering warmth and a taste of the wild Scottish coast. With an ABV of 46%, The Botanist Islay Dry Gin is perfect for sipping neat or on the rocks to fully appreciate its intricate flavour profile. It also shines in classic cocktails, elevating a G&T with its aromatic complexity or adding a sophisticated twist to a Negroni. Serve with a delicate garnish of lemon peel or a sprig of fresh mint to enhance its botanical bouquet. This generous 1000ml bottle is the perfect companion for your journey, offering a taste of Islay's wild beauty to savour wherever your travels may take you.
