Jameson Crested is a blend of older Irish whiskies. It boasts a rich Irish pot still character, an unmistakeably full bodied whiskey with delicate undertones, and toasted wood dovetails with fruit, spice and chocolate. Triple distilled and matured in sherry casks and bourbon barrels, Jameson Crested is a celebration of the first drops of whiskey that were bottled, sealed and labeled at the Bow Street Distillery in Dublin. Jameson Crested brings to life the rich history of the brand and its spiritual home of Dublin. Back in the day it was common practice to sell Irish whiskey to bonders by the cask. Then, it was left up to them to bottle it. In 1963, after some greedy bonders started to water down the whiskey to fill up their pockets, Jameson took over full control of the process, from grain to glass. Jameson Crested is a celebration of those first drops bottled back in Bow Street, marking an important point in the Jameson history. Nose: vivid sherry pot still aroma.
