This exceptional whiskey has been hand selected by The Irish Whiskey Collection.Initially aged in 1st fill Bourbon barrels for ten whistling years and finished in Barbados Rum casks for a further 28 months, this release is inspired by the glorious world of Aviation and celebrates the golden age of travel. Barbados airport and country flag feature on the label illustration. The central motif is inspired by old flight deck/cockpit dials and the dial itself is orientated to the direction of the cask origins in the Caribbean.Release and bottle number feature on the front label.Tasting NotesNose: Bold notes of Banana and pineapple lead the march, followed closely by strong hits of vanilla and freshly cut grass with an earthy undertone.Palate: There’s pineapple, orange, sweet mandarins, peaches, grapes and vanilla on the palate. It’s a boozy cream soda mash-up that transports you to a tropical paradise with every sip. Finish: Piquant and lingering on the finish and keeps you coming back for more.
