Penderyn Madeira Single Malt Welsh Whisky Wales 70CL

Embark on a sensory journey with Penderyn Madeira Single Malt Welsh Whisky, a distinguished expression crafted exclusively for the discerning traveller. Hailing from the heart of Wales, this exceptional whisky is a testament to traditional distillation methods infused with innovative maturation techniques. The spirit begins its life in traditional copper pot stills, a hallmark of Penderyn's unique approach, before embarking on its transformative journey in carefully selected ex-bourbon casks. The magic truly unfolds as it is then finished in hand-picked Madeira wine casks, imbuing the whisky with a delightful sweetness and a complex fruitiness that is both vibrant and refined. Upon uncorking, anticipate an inviting aroma of rich toffee, dried fruits, and a hint of oak. The first sip reveals a beautifully balanced palate, showcasing notes of sweet raisins, honeyed barley, and delicate spices. The Madeira influence is elegantly present, contributing layers of apricot, citrus peel, and a subtle, lingering warmth that speaks of its Welsh heritage. This whisky is a celebration of craftsmanship, offering a smooth and memorable drinking experience perfect for savouring on your travels or sharing as a special gift. Penderyn Madeira is best enjoyed neat to fully appreciate its intricate flavour profile. Alternatively, it can be served with a drop of water to open up its aromatic qualities. This versatile single malt also pairs wonderfully with a rich dark chocolate or a selection of mature cheeses, making it an ideal accompaniment to quiet moments of reflection or convivial celebrations. Presented in a 700ml bottle, it is a true taste of Wales, designed to elevate your travel retail experience.
