Embark on a sensory journey with the exquisite Penfolds Bin 138 Shiraz Grenache Mourvèdre, a distinguished Australian red wine presented in a generous 750ml bottle, perfectly suited for the discerning traveler. Crafted by Penfolds, a name synonymous with winemaking excellence, this captivating blend is a testament to the rich terroir of Australia, offering a truly memorable tasting experience. The Bin 138 is a harmonious marriage of Shiraz, Grenache, and Mourvèdre, each grape varietal contributing its unique character to create a wine of exceptional depth and complexity. Upon uncorking, the wine reveals an alluring bouquet of ripe dark fruits, intertwined with subtle notes of exotic spice and a whisper of Mediterranean herbs, reflecting the classic GSM style. On the palate, it unfolds with a velvety smooth texture, showcasing generous flavors of blackberry, plum, and cherry, beautifully balanced by a backbone of fine-grained tannins and a lingering, elegant finish. The Shiraz provides structure and dark fruit intensity, the Grenache offers warmth and red fruit vibrancy, while the Mourvèdre contributes savory spice and a sophisticated earthiness. This versatile wine is an ideal companion for a variety of culinary delights. We recommend serving it slightly below room temperature, around 16-18°C (61-64°F), to best appreciate its nuanced aromas and flavors. It pairs exceptionally well with roasted lamb, hearty stews, grilled steaks, and mature cheeses, making it a superb choice for celebrating special occasions or simply elevating everyday dining. Discover the artistry of Australian winemaking with Penfolds Bin 138, a treasure to be savored during your travels and beyond.
