This is the great Castello wine from the Mormoreto vineyard which was planted in 1976. The first vintage was from the 1983 harvest, and since then it has been produced only in the most favourable years. Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, and Petit Verdot, planted 150 years ago, have, over time, formed an intimate bond with this terroir and now bring out all of its unique qualities. It is a wine of great depth, opulent and refined, which you can cellar for many years.

A wine bottle and a glass of red wine. The wine bottle is cylindrical and has a dark color. The bottle features a prominent label with the name 'MORMORETO' prominently displayed at the top in a bold modern font. Below the name, there is a silver emblem-like design with a geometric pattern that includes a central symbol that resembles a camera lens or a circular motif. The label also indicates 'TOSCANA' in a smaller font, with '2009' near the top. The metallic capsule at the top of the bottle is red, complementing the design. The glass is elegant and tulip-shaped with a long stem, showcasing a deep red wine, indicating richness. The background appears to be white, emphasizing the product.

Frescobaldi

Frescobaldi, Tenuta d'Ammiraglia, Aliè, Toscana, IGT, dry, rosé 0.75L

Alìe, a fabled sea nymph, a symbol of sensuality and beauty, inspired Alìe, an elegant rosé with a luminous pink hue and subtle ruby highlights. It is a stylish, beautifully-balanced blend of Syrah and Vermentino, varieties that express their finest qualities when grown near the sea. Scents of spring wildflowers, wild strawberries, and citrus peel combine with a tasty vein of earthy minerality, classic to this growing area, that supports a delicate structure and infuses a lengthy, complex finish. Alìe makes an enchanting apèritif wine as well as throughout a meal, enjoyed with close friends and family.

Frescobaldi

Frescobaldi, CastelGiocondo, Brunello di Montalcino, DOCG, dry, red 0.75L

‘It comes from Tuscany, specifically from the DOCG Brunello di Montalcino south of Siena. Here, the vines are particularly well protected on the slopes of Monte Amiata - it is not for nothing that Brunello is considered the largest and most important red wine in Tuscany. CastelGiocondo's Brunello di Montalcino is made from 100% Sangiovese, Tuscany's leading grape variety, in this case the Brunello (little brown) variety discovered and widespread around Montalcino. The wine matures for 24 months in barriques and then rests for a further three years in the bottle before it is allowed to leave the winery. The alcohol content is 14.5%. The wine is ready to drink, but should be decanted into a carafe 24 hours before drinking. However, you can also decant the wine ‘easily’: Simply pour into a glass and leave the rest of the bottle lightly closed (with the cork only slightly open) for a while - the residual air in the bottle aerates and opens the wine. This wine can also be stored in the cellar until 2034 without hesitation and will then become even more elegant and supple.’
