Teeling Whiskey Sommelier Selection Alentejo 70cl

Teeling Whiskey

Single Malt Irish Whiskey 5cl

A great single malt that is drawn from various ages of whisky from a single undisclosed Irish distillery. The oldest malt in this dates back to 1991 and the various components have been matured in different types of barrels including Sherry, Port, Madeira, White Burgundy and Cabernet Sauvignon. Possibly our favourite new whiskey of 2014. At this price it represents great value for money. Never mind that there is not an age statement, this is as good, if not better than most 12 year old single malts.

Teeling Whiskey

Single Pot Still Irish Whiskey 70cl

We’re the first distillery to open in Dublin city for 125 years, yet whiskey making flows through our family’s veins – over two centuries of it. It’s our deep Dublin distilling roots that give us confidence to do things differently. Dublin distillers, back in the last golden era of Irish whiskey, were made famous by perfecting the use of unmalted barley and triple distillation. The first release from our new distillery pays homage to this famous Dublin style of Irish Whiskey. Our Single Pot is crafted using a recipe of 50% unmalted spring barley and 50% malted barley which is triple distilled and matured in a combination of virgin oak, ex-wine and ex-bourbon barrels. This is not how everyone makes Irish whiskey – it’s our way. That’s the Spirit of Dublin. Nose:Hibiscus flowers, honeycomb, white grape flesh, grapefruit & citrus Taste:Lychees, return of the white grapes, white pepper with warm, roasted peaches & baked biscuits Finish:Dry finish, hints of spice, roasted almonds and maple sugar

Teeling Whiskey

Single Grain Irish Whiskey 70cl

Teeling Single Grain Irish Whiskey is a wholly unique style within Irish Whiskey, pushing the boundaries of convention, at the intersect of where old world meets new. Although a common component in Irish blended whiskeys, we wanted to create a unique flavour expression of Irish Whiskey made exclusively from corn. By fully maturing this spirit in ex-Cabernet Sauvignon casks from the Napa Valley California, a highly distinct red-berry and tannic profile is imparted that is balanced perfectly with the underlying sweetness from the corn. Bottling at 46% with no chill filtration completes this whiskey of true character. Teeling Single Grain was voted “Best Irish Single Grain” at the 2017 World Whiskies Awards. Nose:Spice and fruit notes mingle with an underlying sweet nose Taste:Strong spice at the start developing into lush red berries and grapes, with drying tannin effect at the end Finish:Dry finish dominated by wood and spice

Teeling Whiskey

Small Batch Irish Whiskey 5cl

Teeling Small Batch Irish Whiskey challenges the convention of what an Irish blended whiskey can be. The flagship of Teeling’s Trinity Range, Teeling Small Batch consists of hand selected casks of grain and malt whiskey, initially aged separately in ex-bourbon casks for up to 6 years, and then given further maturation for between 6-9months in ex-rum casks from Central America, imparting a unique dried fruit profile. Like all of our bottlings, this whiskey is bottled at 46% with no chill filtration, completing an Irish Whiskey of true character. Teeling Small Batch was awarded the top prize of “Master” at the Spirits Business Irish Whiskey Masters 2017.
