40th Anniversary Irish Whiskey 70cl
The limited 40th Anniversary Ruby Edition from Midleton Very Rare, the pinnacle of Irish Whiskey Nose: Opens with a rich and delightful burst of berry fruits as notes of blackcurrant, raspberry, and plum come to the fore. A delicate perfume with aromatic spices and an earthy woodland character are complemented by the additional orchard fruits and citrus peel, all the while the seasoned oak imparts sweet vanilla, cinnamon, and fragrant honeycomb. The elegance of the grain whiskey quietly emerges to reveal soft and nuanced floral undertones. Taste: Succulent fruits at first that are initially met with pot still spices, imparting notes of freshly grated ginger and clove oil. The oak’s soft tannins, combined with a nutty character, impart notes of flaked almonds and nutmeg that are wonderfully balanced by the seasoned port cask’s contribution of ripe berry fruits, cassis, and dark chocolate. Finish: Luxuriously long and satisfying, where the seasoned oak, fruits and spice continue to linger, eventually yielding only to time.

Midleton Very Rare Dair Ghaelach Kilranelagh Tree 6 70cl
THE FIFTH CHAPTER OF THE MIDLETON DAIR GHAELACH SERIES FROM KILRANELAGH ESTATE The fifth chapter of the Midleton Dair Ghaelach series takes us to Kilranelagh Estate near Baltinglass, Co. Wicklow. Situated amidst rolling hills of Wicklow, the native Irish woodland on the estate has been managed carefully and in tune with nature by the Westerholt family for the last 300 years. Together with our forestry specialist team, 6 Irish oak trees were chosen to create an extremely limited number of casks. These casks were filled with a specially selected range of fifteen to twenty-eight-year-old Single Pot Still whiskeys previously matured in American oak barrels. Nosed and tasted every month, Master Distiller Kevin O’Gorman and Blender, David McCabe kept a vigilant watch on the liquid. After two years, the Irish oak influence was deemed to have struck a perfect balance with the Single Pot Still character. It’s as individual as it is irresistible; whiskey as satisfyingly Irish as it is undeniably elegant. As an investment in the future of coopering oak, Midleton Very Rare has partnered with Forestry Genetic Research Trust to create an Oak Seed Orchard Project that will curate the next generation of Irish Oak forests. Midleton Dair Ghaelach Tasting Notes Notes of chocolate dipped honeycomb with caramelised red apples and quince jelly. Luxurious aromas enhanced by the sweetness of coffee cake and vanilla-scented cream, while earthy fragrances are matched by those of an antique cedarwood cigar box. Taste of fresh plums, peaches, and dried apricot, followed by a hint of chilli oil and grated ginger. Delicate oak tannins, perfectly balanced with the fruits and pot still spices Finished with stone fruits, soft spices and oak tannins Details Single Pot Sill Irish Whiskey 56.9% ABV

Midleton Very Rare Barry Crockett Legacy Irish Whiskey 70cl
Irish Distillers honours former master distiller, Barry Crockett with this Pot Still Whiskey bearing his name. Midleton Barry Crockett Legacy represents a selection of Pot Still Whiskeys which have been matured exclusively in American Bourbon barrels with a subtle contribution from a pot still distillate which has been matured in an unseasoned or virgin American barrel. The aromatics, which are typical of the character delivered by pot still distillation, are generously complimented by a touch of lime, succulent green berries, pears and some green sweet pepper. The sweetness of vanilla and the deeper charred oak notes represent the seamless contribution made by maturation in best quality casks. Just two master distillers have had the privilege of preserving the legacy of the world's most sought-after Irish whiskey. Created in 1984 by master distiller Emeritus Barry Crockett, Midleton Very Rare is the ultimate expression of his art and expertise. Once a year, master distiller, Brian Nation honours Barry's vision by handpicking the finest and rarest Whiskeys available and carefully blends them to create each annual vintage of Midleton Very Rare. Only a select number of casks are deemed of sufficient excellence and rarity to bear the Midleton Very Rare name, making this the pinnacle of Irish Whiskey. Elegant aroma of vanilla and toasted oak With a touch of lime, succulent green berries, pears and green sweet pepper aromas Taste of light pepper carries onto fresh citrus, limes and mandarin orange sweetness Hint of cinnamon with vanilla and oak Full spectrum of flavours lasts well into the finish REWARDS Gold Medal, Outstanding, International Wine & Spirit Competition 2013 94/100, Excellent, Highly Recommended, Ultimate Spirits Challenge 2013 Gold Medal, International Spirits Challenge 2012 Silver Medal, Outstanding, International Wine & Spirit Competition 2012 Gold Medal, San Francisco World Spirits Competition 2012 Gold Medal, International Spirits Challenge 2011 Trophy, International Spirits Challenge 2011

Very Rare Silent Distillery Chapter 4 70cl
THE FOURTH CHAPTER IN THE MIDLETON VERY RARE SILENT DISTILLERY COLLECTION IS UNVEILED The latest chapter in Ireland's oldest and rarest whiskey collection The Midleton Very Rare Silent Distillery Collection includes six releases that represent the last of the liquid from the legendary Old Midleton Distillery. Chapter Four is a 48-year-old blended Irish whiskey born out of the careful marrying of an outstanding grain and pot whiskey in an ex-bourbon cask. Following a carefully handled blending process which involved adding the pot whiskey into the particularly delicate grain whiskey cask without losing any of this liquid gold, the whiskeys completed their maturation journey together. Resulting in a whiskey that is silk textured and full bodied, with fruit, spice and finesse combined to present a wonderfully complex expression. With a bottling strength of 53.9%, only 119 bottles of this unique whiskey will be available. 5 of these exclusive bottles are available for purchase at The Loop.
