A great single malt that is drawn from various ages of whisky from a single undisclosed Irish distillery. The oldest malt in this dates back to 1991 and the various components have been matured in different types of barrels including Sherry, Port, Madeira, White Burgundy and Cabernet Sauvignon. Possibly our favourite new whiskey of 2014. At this price it represents great value for money. Never mind that there is not an age statement, this is as good, if not better than most 12 year old single malts.

We’re the first distillery to open in Dublin city for 125 years, yet whiskey making flows through our family’s veins – over two centuries of it. It’s our deep Dublin distilling roots that give us confidence to do things differently. Dublin distillers, back in the last golden era of Irish whiskey, were made famous by perfecting the use of unmalted barley and triple distillation. The first release from our new distillery pays homage to this famous Dublin style of Irish Whiskey. Our Single Pot is crafted using a recipe of 50% unmalted spring barley and 50% malted barley which is triple distilled and matured in a combination of virgin oak, ex-wine and ex-bourbon barrels. This is not how everyone makes Irish whiskey – it’s our way. That’s the Spirit of Dublin.

This gift pack contains a miniature of Teeling's rum-cask-finished Small Batch blended Whiskey and a small jar to drink it from. The blend is said to contain a high proportion of first-fill bourbon cask whiskey, and a higher-than-normal ratio of malt to grain.

Master winner at the Irish Whiskey Masters 2023! Like other releases in the Explorers Edition by Teeling, this whiskey embraces a nation's character and personality by using unique casks to perfectly capture their natural identity. For this release, Teeling selected a whiskey previously aged in bourbon barrels, before giving it a finish for four years in hand-selected casks that previously were used to mature Mugi Shochu.This extra special finish imparts wonderfully enticing notes of lychee and passionfruit to an already stellar Irish whiskey.
