In 2021 Brian Nation, former Midleton master distiller moved his Family to Minnesota and the distillery he designed and commissioned in Minneapolis will be two years old next month. Keepers Heart is the most awarded new Whiskey and two different Keepers Heart whiskeys will be available in Dublin and Cork Airports. Keepers Heart Irish+American Whiskey and Keepers Heart irish+American Whiskey. Keepers Heart Irish +American (53% Irish and 47% American Rye) A blend of triple distilled Irish Grain Whiskey, Pot Still and American Rye Whiskey. Both the Grain and Pot Still Whiskeys are aged in refill American Bourbon Barrels and the American Rye is aged in Virgin new American Oak. Nose: Plenty of floral notes and spices Palate: Candied ginger, vanilla, lemon zest, sweet biscuits, stewed fruit. Long and lingering with notes of spices, candy sweetness and freshly charred oak. Finish: Long and pleasant spiced caramel The mash bills are: • Grain, Maize (Corn) & between 4-6% Malted Barley • Pot Still, Malted and unmalted Barley. • Rye (96% Rye & 4% Malted Barley). • Age 4-6 years • 43% ABV 86 proof Natural Colour Gerard says "a balanced whiskey (53% Irish and 47% American Rye) marying sweet floral grain, Round Pot Still and spicy sweet American Rye"
