Bushmills Rum Cask Rare Release Reserve is matured in first fill Caribbean rum casks. On the homeward leg of her journey the SS Bushmills docked in St Vincent, restocking her hold with rum. Bushmills continue this tradition today, refilling small batches of seasoned rum casks with Bushmills' fine single malt Irish whiskey and storing them in Bushmills' cool warehouses. Then they wait as new flavours are slowly drawn out of the wood, combining vibrant new tropical notes with Bushmills' famously smooth Irish whiskey. Alcohol by volume - 40%. Burnished copper colour. Tasting notes on the nose: Sweet Pineapple and Mangos with Honeyed fruit and Fudge. Tasting notes on the palate: rich and creamy Toffee and light Oak with a complex sweetness, Tropical Fruit notes and subtle Spice. Tasting notes on the finish: strong and smooth with more Oak and Vanilla.
