Initially matured in American white oak ex-bourbon casks for a first base of soft vanilla and honey notes. The whisky is apportioned between Moscatel casks, Malmsey Madeira barrels, Matusalem sherry casks, aged Port pipes and Cabernet Sauvignon wine barriques. The five parts are then brought together to harmonize with each cask gifting the whisky with its own characteristics and flavours.

The epitome of our house style this 15 year old Highland Single Malt whisky is finished in different styles of sherry casks including Apostoles, Amoroso and Matusalem oloroso. The liquid is initially aged in American white oak ex-bourbon casks. This gives its first base of soft vanilla and honey notes. The whisky is then finished in different styles of oloroso sherry casks including Amoroso, rare Apostoles and Matusalem oloroso which are hand selected from world renowned bodegas. Each sherry cask enhances the whisky with its own individual characteristics and flavours. An ideal gift for a connoisseur.

The Dalmore King Alexander III

The Dalmore King Alexander III showcases cask curation at its finest; it is the world’s first single malt to create an assemblage of six cask finishes. Initially matured in American white oak ex-bourbon casks, the liquid is apportioned between small batch ex-bourbon casks, Matusalem oloroso sherry casks, Madeira barrels, Marsala casks, Port pipes and Cabernet Sauvignon wine barriques. These are then brought together in an in-situ sherry butt. With hints of chocolate and vanilla on the nose, a zesty and spicy palate and a peppery finish that surprises with a touch of claret, the character is distinctively Dalmore.

The Dalmore 12 Year Old

An outstanding 12-year-old Highland Single Malt Whisky Aged in American white oak ex-bourbon casks and finessed in rare and aged oloroso sherry casks. The American white oak ex-bourbon casks gives its first base of soft vanilla and honey notes. A proportion of the spirit is then lovingly transferred into the finest sherry casks some of which have previously held rare and aged oloroso sherry. These personally curated sherry casks give the whisky its rich nutty character. The two styles are then reunited to create something magical. A Single Malt to add to your collection.
