Conceived in 1989 as an experimental laboratory, Atelier Versace focuses on innovation and research in design, materials and technology. The entire haute couture collection is created in Versaces Milanese Atelier, starting from the aesthetic research and visionary design, all the way through hundreds of hours of meticulous workmanship by hand. Atelier has always represented a celebration of the origins for Versace, a reminder of Gianni and Donatellas mother, a dressmaker who passed on the familys sartorial traditions from her studio. The relentless pursuit of the highest quality materials and craftsmanship has been translated into the creation of a line of six exclusive and luxurious fragrances bearing the Atelier Versace name. They embody the Ateliers absolute dedication to excellence, encompassing a studious approach to exceptional quality components, innovative techniques, hand-craftsmanship and the distinct Atelier Versace aesthetic. Evoking the sartorial savoir-faire of the Atelier, the perfumes are kept in entirely hand-made packaging. The lighter, fresher fragrances are stored in clear, transparent glassware, while the more intense scents boast sleek black bottles. Created by an innovative twisting technique, the glass is enriched with the name of the fragrance written in a gold tone. Hand-crafted metal caps boast a three-dimensional Medusa motif. Sculptural bottles are packed into paper boxes embellished by a gold-tone Greek Key border painted by hand. The boxes reveal a mirror that feature the Atelier Versace logo painted in a gold tone. Another collaboration with Nathalie Lorson, Jasmin au Soleil highlights jasmine flowers from India which are picked at sunrise to preserve their freshness. At the top, alongside the jasmine morning absolute is jasmine tea, which then gives way to a heart of freesia and bright, juicy lemon primofiore. French beeswax adds balsamic and honey notes with hints of hay and tobacco to the dry-down, giving a light, velvety dimension to the perfume. These sensual tones are paired with Alaskan cedarwood to round out this sensual Floral eau de parfum.
